Astonishing! What a nice thing to do when your off duty… I was just surfin’ along my favouritelist, and I discovered my hashtags in twitter. I’m not tweeting that long, and discovered a special column: ‘#illustrations’. Sure… At first you go surfin’ along those links and shortURL’s, but when you dig some deeper, you’ll find the work that puts a smile on every designers face. At least, It did on mine… One day, I’ll hope I’m getting as good as these perfect illustrators are… Looks like a great plan for the near future!

Drew Beam

I was just surfin’ for some inspiration and checked out some great website, untill I saw this painting… Incredible! Checked out the website of the painter and was even more amazed about his ‘creativeness’… Check out the website of Drew Beam (No, I don’t know if he’s related to Jim Beam…)!

I have to thank Jasper of Non-verbaal for this post… Grrreat! :)

iPhone-app-rankinglist

Hola, compañeros!

Since august of the beautiful year 2008, I decided to get myself a iPhone 3G. I had a iPhone already, but that was a old one, and the 3G seems way better then the older one. It quite is, but I have to admit: the first generation iPhone was better in more than a few ways. First of all: the coating. Nowadays it’s just plain plastic, but the first generation was made of titanium (or something like that!). With all benefits with it.
But never the less: I’m still glad with my 3G iPhone, although I surely wanted the 3GS as much!

The fun part of an iPhone, in every-which way, the first generation, the 3G or the 3GS, are the apps… And everybody is using some different kinda apps.
Which one is more useful? I’m quite curious… For now, I made up my own ranking list…

Here it comes:

1. Dropbox

2. Ping! Lite

3. Tweetdeck

4. HeyWAY

5. Remote

6. Funambol

7. Shazam

8. Zoek en vind (only for the Dutch!)

I even put the direct links with it, so it’ll show you the place to find on iTunes…
Enjoy!

I proudly present…

My works pays off! Some of my illustrations are showed in a canvas-web-shop.
This means more illustrating to keep up the works, and show it to the world!

The funniest is the description of me.

Che Guevara style
You shouldn’t expect a Argentine Guerrilla, which can illustrate quite nice too, Until you see Toni Massaar at work. Latin-tones with the smoke of a good Cuban Sigar and a nice glass of Rum, are the ingredients for the perfect illustrations.

iPhone 4G is coming, and it’s coming fast!

And they have a couple of interesting features.

1) The LCD appears to be factory glued to the digitizer which is more similar to the first generation iPhones than the iPhone 3G and 3GS. The digitizer can be separated from the LCD on the 3G and 3GS models, which should be interesting to all, but for the repair folks like us–this means that the 4G screen repair price will be higher since both parts will have to be replaced at once.

2) The iPhone 4G front panel seems to be about 1/4″ longer than its predecessors. ***My .02 here is not necessarily that the new iPhone is going to be bigger. A lot of speculation on the size of the new iPhone has come out, however, it could also mean that the front panel is longer because the bezel surrounding the front panel is a different size, or is absent on the 4G models. We really won’t know until it comes out.***

3) There is an interesting reflective, mirror-like surface directly above the speaker. This is likely a spot for the proximity sensor. If that’s what it is, it’s in a different location than previous models.

UPDATE: There are a lot of skeptics out there and rightly so. There have been a lot of “leaked” photos from various Apple products in the past that have turned out to be parts for another product. Here are the things that we know: a) The phone has not been released yet. Until it is, Apple could change the product design or the parts we have acquired could be prototypes. Since we don’t have an actual fourth-generation iPhone in our hands, we have no way to know for sure. b) We obtained this part as a sample from a reputable source. They have been reputable up to this point, and have provided genuine parts for us in the past.

We are a repair company and it’s in our best interest to get samples of these new parts as they become available to us. Of course it is possible that these are not the final design or these are parts for another product completely, but that is not how they have been demonstrated to us. If these parts are not for the fourth generation iPhone, we will obviously not be using them for future repairs when the new iPhones do come out.

From left to right, you have the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the iPhone 4G front panel.

On the left, the iPhone 3GS front panel. On the right, the iPhone 4G front panel assembly. Note the difference in length and the reflective surface above the speaker, presumably for the proximity sensor.

There’s been said, that the iPhone is probably coming next April already. Personally? I don’t think so; The next WWDC is going to be held in late june…

Rumors, rumors… but still… :)
